Our Team
Funmi Abitogun – Manager
Funmi is a qualified social worker with years of experience working with children and young people, including those aged 16 plus and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. She has an in-depth understanding of the looked-after children processes and the asylum system for unaccompanied minors. Funmi is highly knowledgeable about the 1989 Children Act and the 2014 Well-being of Future Generations Act in Wales, and she brings a wealth of experience in planning, delivering, and monitoring services to support positive outcomes for young people. Her expertise ensures that the service is responsive, compliant with legislation, and focused on the individual needs of each young person.

Hlambase Mupundu – Responsible Individual
Hlambase is a qualified social worker with extensive experience in adult services. She has held senior social work roles, providing expert knowledge in Mental Capacity Assessments, the Mental Health Act, and the Care Act. Hlambase’s experience ensures that governance, risk management, and operational oversight are embedded throughout the service. Her leadership supports staff development, safeguarding, and the implementation of policies and procedures that uphold the safety, well-being, and independence of young people.

Together, Funmi and Hlambase provide strong strategic and operational leadership, combining expertise in children’s and adult social care. Their combined knowledge ensures that Afresh Care and Support Ltd operates in line with legislative requirements, delivers high-quality support, and continually improves outcomes for young people in semi-independent living.
